This role requires a talented Medical Assistant that can handle working at multiple locations in the valley. The ideal candidate will work with multiple providers at several locations. The ideal Medical Assistant can put themselves in our patientsxe2x80x99 shoes and demonstrate compassion and understanding while thriving in a fast-paced clinic. A successful Medical Assistant is friendly, professional, and has a natural talent to always put our patients first in delivering unparalleled patient care. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination. Enter complete medical histories along with patientsxe2x80x99 current medications into the chart. Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patientxe2x80x99s medical record. Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures. Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments. Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms. Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments. Other duties as assigned to the back office. Education: High School Diploma required. Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required. Qualifications: Must have more than 2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant. Previous dermatology experience is required. Experience working with cosmetic, Mohs, and surgical procedures is preferred. Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Strong phone etiquette. Team player. Professional in appearance and mannerisms. Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers alike. Able to prioritize tasks, understand the providerxe2x80x99s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice. Strong organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with EMA preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.
