Job Overview: The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and clerical tasks to assist with the management of customer flow throughout the clinic. Tasks include standard rooming processes, giving immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider, and performing laboratory specimen collection as needed. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Perform standard rooming processes, administer immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by healthcare providers. Clinical Duties: Conduct laboratory specimen collection, perform phlebotomy, and assist with X-ray procedures if certified. Administrative Support: Manage front desk tasks such as check-ins, ordering and stocking supplies, and assisting with prior authorizations. Communication: Facilitate communication between patients and providers, support prescription refills, and offer telephone support as needed. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our medical team to ensure seamless patient care and contribute to an efficient clinic operation. Requirements: Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent. Education: High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multitask, and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Benefits: Health and dental insurance plans.
