At the Accident Centers of Texas, we are looking for a Travel Medical Assistant who is multiskilled health professional and responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facility in Dallas while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement. Measure and record vital signs Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; and reporting patient history summary. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Maintains medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. Prior authorizations for procedures, testing, DME supplies etc. Triage of patient phone calls Regular communication with providers regarding patient care both verbally and through the EMR Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA. Qualification/Education/Requirements: Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required) 2 years’ experience (Preferred) EMR experience (Required) Strong writing and verbal skills Ability to work through interruptions, manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations. Bilingual ( English and Spanish Required) ACT pays Stipend to Travel Medical Assistants for their travel to our locations in addition to their hourly salary.
