We have 10 clinics throughout the twin cities (Richfield, Edina, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Burnsville, Saint Anthony, Maple Grove, Downtown Minneapolis, Blaine and Duluth) During the past years, we have been experiencing exceptional growth. This growth has created the need for Medical Assistants. Our sister company In House Senior Services is also looking for Traveling Medical Assistants. https://midwestpodiatrycenters.com/ https://inhss.com/ Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to work schedule ( travel 2 days out of the week to Nursing Facilities and the other 3 days in Clinic.) Prepares patients to be seen by the Podiatrist and Scribe (height, weight, vitals, list of medications and allergies, chief complaint etc.) Assists patients with shoes/socks, into/out of the podiatry chair. Assists with patient care procedures as directed and supervised by podiatrist, e.g., routine nail care, dressing changes, suture removal, cast removals, Unna boots application, strappings, crutch training. Cleans and organizes the exam rooms and maintains adequate medical supplies in the exam rooms, maintain and sterilize instruments, prepare surgical trays, assist with castings. Prepares sterile surgical trays for in-office procedures and assists the physician during in-office surgical procedures. Front desk duties include, but not limited to patient registration, collection of payments, scheduling, and answering incoming calls. Processes referrals, lab orders, and orthotic orders according to standard of operations. Performs other job duties as assigned. Expected to float to other clinics and ability to work till 6 pm is a must. Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program is highly preferred. X-Ray Certification highly desirable. Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities. Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Podiatry experience a plus, but not required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
