Bolingbrook, IL 60440The community youxe2x80x99ll be caring for: UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Great LakesThe role youxe2x80x99ll contribute: The Lead is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based primary care and integrative health environment. This individual also functions a role model with supervision over daily workflow.xc2xa0 The Lead must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills. The Lead collaborates with supervisors to oversee efficient patient flow and upholds an environment of patient safety and satisfaction.xc2xa0 Perform clerical and/or patient care duties in the medical practice to support medical providers and nursing in the examination and treatment of clinic patients. These staff members function under the supervision and authority of the licensed physician, or non-physician provider licensed in State of Kansas.xc2xa0 Maintains efficient patient flow, supports an environment of patient safety and satisfaction and demonstrates problem-solving skills. Constructively collaborates with team to find the optimal office efficiencies while maintaining patient centered care.xc2xa0xc2xa0 Available to provide back-up and coverage to multiple RMH clinics, registration desks, and performing front and back office duties; schedules appointments, greets patients, and prepares charts; performs registration and check-in/out functions; verifies insurance benefits; maintains various records and databases of information; prepares correspondence and reports; assists the supervising physician in direct patient care, including exams and treatments within the office setting.xc2xa0 Responds to caller general information requests and inquiries; refers callers to appropriate area; performs other duties as assigned. 2/28/22xc2xa0The value youxe2x80x99ll bring to the teamProvides oversight of daily workflow planning, troubleshooting, staffing needs, delegation of duties, problem-solving and staff learning needs. Assists in development and implementation of related clinical policies and procedures.Works collaboratively with Practice Managers on operational and clinical communications and special projects.Assists Practice Manager with workflow decisions, performance feedback, new hire orientation and special projects.Serves as mentor and preceptor for any new office staff.Serves as liaison for lab, supply vendors and medical equipment.Operates clinical equipment according to equipment procedures including safety and quality control checks. Checks care areas for malfunctioning equipment and general maintenance problems on a regular basis. Reports findings to appropriate person or arranges for repairs, as required.Ensures that blood/body fluids, biohazard materials, needle containers and potentially infectious waste are appropriately disposed and removed from the clinic and exam area according to infection control guidelines.Provides oversight for location in ensuring that staff Order, stock, and maintain exam rooms, special order items and supply storage areas using par levels of supplies, medications, linens, forms and equipment. Monitors expiration dates and takes action accordingly.The expertise and experiences youxe2x80x99ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: xc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 Exemplary Customer Service Skills, knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of charge entry, payment collection, and posting, knowledge of clinical and surgical billing requirements, interpersonal/human relations skills. Ability to perform data entry and prepare reports. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:xc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 High school or GEDEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:xc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 One year preferred.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Certification as a Medical (Office) Assistant Required.
