Applicant Requirements: 1. Must have at least 1 year experience as a medical assistant/LPN in a physicians office 2. Completion of an accredited medical assistant course/LPN with valid License. 3. Excellent communicative and time management skills. 4. Excellent computer skills required. 5. Must be willing and able to travel to satellite offices in to Alexandria/Lake Charles 1-2 times a week. On travel days we leave the Lafayette location at 6:00 am in a company car. 6. Previous experience with precertifications. Job Responsibilities: Ensures that all lab work, x-ray reports are reviewed and filed in the patient’s chart. Ensures clinic is properly stocked with supplies and equipment. Maintains the appearance of exam rooms and replaces sharp containers. Cleans room after each patient is seen. Assists with answering multi phone lines, scheduling patients in EMR and returning patient phone calls. Maintains patients medical record and ensures proper documentation of medical history. Removing sutures and staples on surgery patients, prepare patient for injections. Pre-certification of all testing and surgeries. Scheduling referral, imaging studies and reschedule patients. Casting and splinting of patients Removing cast and splints.
