We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Receptionist to become a part of our team! You will perform routine clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Responsibilities: Handle all clinical duties with a courteous and professional manner Display patient care with a professional image and mannerism Perform routine clinical and office tasks such as prescription refills, triaging phone calls, mail, copies/faxes of forms and disability papers, providing proper documentation and follow HIPPA guidelines Escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining a complete H & P, performing pre and post surgical care including wound care if needed, suture removal and bandaging. Cleaning instrumentation using OSHA guidelines Assist with surgery scheduling duties such as obtaining authorization with insurance companies and scheduling with the facilities. Accepts other job duties requested by physician or office manager if needed to make the office run efficiently and facilitate proper patient care Reviews lab test/results and consults physician to obtain further protocols if needed Ability to communicate professionally with management, staff, patients, and others within work environment. Qualifications: Previous experience in a healthcare environment. Must hold current state certification license as a RMA, CCMA or CMA Team oriented Strong organizational and professional medical skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task efficiently Ability to travel to multiple locations Registers all patients-assures completeness of forms, verifies insurance, greet patients. Check in MRI patients xe2x80x93 give MRI form and call tech up. Collects balance due, co-pays, referrals, photo IDxe2x80x99s, and insurance cards. Counts petty cash and balances journals. Preps charts, obtains reports, corrects errors off of registration/insurance, and intake disability forms. Makes new and follow-up appointments-enters into computer, and scans paperwork into chart. Answers phones. Register new patients, along with entering insurance information. Scheduling new and established patients. Handles schedule changes and reschedules patients accordingly. Routes paperwork/faxes/messages to the appropriate staff. Copies/faxes forms to the appropriate places. Interacts with internal and external customers utilizing a courteous and professional manner. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Assists in Patient Scheduling Department Displays a professional image; dress is in accordance with dress code; acts as a positive representative of the practice. Accepts other duties as requested by physician, office manager or front desk lead.
