OverviewExpected pay for this position is $23.06 – $27.13/hour. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.xc2xa0xc2xa0POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience. May work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical support, assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities at the direction of the physician/provider. Performs the duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: xc2xa0Education: High School Diploma or GEDxc2xa0AND Certificate of completion or Diploma from a medical assistant programxc2xa0OR Completion of Guild MedCerts medical assistant certification course AND certificate of completion from OSF applied learning programxc2xa0OR Education equivalency: at least 6 months experience in Certified Medical Assistant rolexc2xa0OR proof of completion of on-the-job training/education program for certified medical assisting in another healthcare organization.xc2xa0Licensure/ Certification: CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Current certification by one the following approved certifying agencies:xc2xa0American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), earning CMA credential.American Medical Technologists (AMT), earning RMA credential.National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), earning NCMA credential.National HealthCare Association (NHA), earning CCMA credential.xc2xa0Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.xc2xa0xc2xa0PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy.xc2xa0Licensure/ Certification: If working in the Rural Health Clinic setting, will be required to have BLS through the American Heart Association.OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
