OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our facility. This position will be Full Time, Non-Union, and the hours will be Monday thru Friday 10 am to 6 pm. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with providing high-quality health care services to residents in collaboration with the nurse supervisor. The Medical Assistant is expected to work in a team-based environment where the approach is a whole person care approach that engages the resident in their health care and requires all team members to be effective and supportive communicators. A high degree of integration and collaboration is required to meet the varying and changing needs of our residents. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, supporting medical administrative tasks efficiently. Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to assist in various medical assessments. Ensure a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required in the State of Michigan. Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including vital signs monitoring, administering first aid, perform ear and eye irrigation Review discharge instructions/plan of care with residents & family Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
