16 Week Contract ED/MedSurg units – MUST have ED and MedSurg Experience Nursing Assistant Job Description OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality care to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, clinics, and trauma centers. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly in geriatrics and trauma care. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Provide catheter care and assist with phlebotomy as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using medical terminology and electronic health record systems like Cerner. Support nursing staff in the delivery of care within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with geriatric care principles is a plus. Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is advantageous. Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of basic clinical procedures. Ability to perform tasks related to vital signs monitoring and catheter care.
