Certified Medical Assistant: Palouse River Counseling is seeking a dynamic professional to support our Psychiatry team. The successful applicant will be an important member of the team assisting the RN, MD, and ARNP in their daily operations by performing specialized clinical and clerical support, and administrative duties as assigned. Coordinates client appointments/services with the prescriber(s). Communicates with allied providers regarding prescriptions, labs, appointments and notes. Provides introductory client education as needed and other duties as directed. Responsibilities: Effectively communicate with adults and children seeking services at PRC; establish positive working relationships with clients, coworkers and the public; maintain up to date client medical charts, track client referrals, utilize client EMR database; perform periodic prior authorizations for medications and continued care; attend team meetings as directed and perform other job related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Possess certification as a Medical Assistant in WA State and maintain certification; two years’ experience as a CMA preferred; satisfactorily pass a criminal background check; must possess a current driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
