Job Description: We are seeking compassionate and positive Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide therapeutic support for patient with mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse issues. The CMA will work collaboratively with our providers and therapy team in our outpatient settings, provides services in the care and treatment of patients under the direct supervision of our providers. The position is Full-Time. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Observes patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition for signs, which may be indicative of adverse change. Active participation in case conferences and related team-based meetings Working with the clinical staff towards the integration of patient health with behavioral health Providing client education on behavioral health issues and strategies for recovery Responsible for the delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. Continuously observes and assesses patient condition and care needs and reports changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate. Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered. Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan. Recognizes changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implements care to prevent risk or reduce risk. Educates the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patientxe2x80x99s nursing needs. Provide treatment support for TMS/PrTMS and ketamine for Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) Injectable administration. Cognitive testing administration. Requirements: A current license to practice as CMA in North Carolina State. Current, unrestricted CMA Certificate and/or the ability to obtain your License.
