Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant xe2x80x93 Float Locations: Ormond Beach and Holly Hill (13 minutes apart) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 hourly We are seeking a compassionate, professional Certified Medical Assistant to join our physician office team. This is a float position supporting both our Ormond Beach and Holly Hill locations. As the first point of contact for patients, youxe2x80x99ll play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting our physicians in all aspects of clinical operations. Key Responsibilities: Verify patient information by interviewing and recording medical history, confirming the purpose of visit. Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs (blood pressure, weight, temperature), and summarize patient history. Assist in office procedures (e.g., laser surgeries, tear duct probes), helping optimize physician time. Maintain and protect patient confidentiality, complete medical records, and ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures. Counsel patients regarding physician’s orders and pre-surgical instructions. Schedule surgeries, coordinate with surgical centers, and prepare necessary patient charts and consent forms. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to policies, legal regulations, and operational procedures. Maintain inventory, place orders, and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Stay up to date with medical knowledge and professional development. Support the office in completing assigned HEDIS reports and follow-up tasks. Qualifications: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required. BLS Certification xe2x80x93 American Heart Association required. Prior experience in a medical office, preferably with geriatrics or Medicare risk management, is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, patient-focused approach. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and following procedures. Ability to travel between Ormond Beach and Holly Hill locations as needed.
