A Full Time Certified Medical Assistant : Seeking a highly motivated, energetic and friendly medical assistant to help support our OB/GYN clinical staff. Duties include working up patients, vitals, GreenWay Prime Suite EHR charting and assisting providers. Job Type: Full-time. No nights or weekends. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care:Assist OB/GYN physicians in examinations and medical procedures.Administer medications, vaccinations, and prescribed treatments following physician orders.Monitor patients’ vital signs, document observations, and report any changes to healthcare providers.Assist with pelvic exams, prenatal care, and other specialized procedures.Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urine analysis, and pregnancy tests.Educate patients on prenatal care, birth control options, and postoperative care. Patient Assessment and Documentation:Gather and document comprehensive patient medical histories, including obstetric and gynecological history.Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.Ensure proper documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and treatment interventions.Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient status and concerns. Patient Education and Support:Provide patient education on topics such as contraception, prenatal care, and women’s health.Offer emotional support, reassurance, and guidance to patients during sensitive or challenging situations.Assist patients in understanding treatment plans and medication instructions. Administrative Duties:Assist with the management of patient forms and documents in compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Infection Control and Safety:Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic clinical environment.Properly handle and dispose of medical waste.Maintain and manage stock levels of medical supplies and equipment. Qualifications: Current CMA or RMA certification Knowledge of OB/GYN medical terminology, procedures, and protocols. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with patients. Attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
